A RESOLUTION

Recognizing November 3, 2025, as Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. Day; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP) was founded on November 3, 1975, with a bold mission to provide community-based alternatives to institutional care for young people and families, transforming lives and empowering communities; and

WHEREAS, over the past 50 years, YAP has become a global leader in innovative and effective advocacy, serving youth and families in urban, suburban, rural, and exurban communities by providing individualized, strength-based services that keep families together; and

WHEREAS, YAP's unique evidence-based model includes a commitment to a "no eject, no reject" policy, ensuring that every young person and family receives the support they need without exclusion; and

WHEREAS, YAP's work has successfully reduced reliance on out-of-home placements such as detention centers, residential treatment facilities, and correctional placements, offering cost-effective solutions that prioritize the well-being of youth, families, and communities; and

WHEREAS, YAP's holistic approach to youth and family advocacy has fostered resilience, created economic opportunities through workforce development, and built safer, stronger communities across the nation and around the world; and

WHEREAS, the year 2025 marks the 50th Anniversary of YAP's impactful service, celebrating decades of advancing equity, justice, and positive outcomes for countless individuals.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize November 3, 2025, as Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. Day.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the public and the press.
