House Resolution 1278

By: Representatives Seabaugh of the 34th, Cooper of the 45th, Gullett of the 19th, Parsons of the 44th, Ehrhart of the 36th, and others

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and congratulating Annabelle Tidmore, Miss Cobb County's Teen 2026; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Annabelle Tidmore won the title of Miss Cobb County's Teen 2026 at the annual Miss Cobb County's teen Scholarship Competition; and

WHEREAS, in June, Annabelle will represent Cobb County in the Miss Georgia's Teen Competition in Columbus, Georgia, where she will have the opportunity to advance to the Miss America's Teen Competition; and

WHEREAS, in recognition of her exemplary performance, she was awarded the Susan McGary Scholarship, the Steve Duncan Scholarship, the Renee Fielden Evening Gown Scholarship, and the Denise Larson Talent Scholarship; and

WHEREAS, Annabelle is a high school freshman at the Liberty University Online Academy, where she excels in academics with a 4.0 GPA; and

WHEREAS, she is an active supporter of the American Heart Association and the Best Buddies Program, served as a Page for the Georgia House of Representatives, is a Cobb County Youth Commissioner, and is President of her school's chapter of the national Beta Club; and

WHEREAS, Annabelle is a passionate advocate for her Community Service Initiative: Text Later Drive Safer, and is the founder of Annabelle's Text Free Tuesday; and

WHEREAS, Annabelle brings great pride to herself, her family, Cobb County, and the State of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper to honor the remarkable achievements of this outstanding young Georgian.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize Annabelle Tidmore, congratulate her upon winning Miss Cobb County's Teen 2026, and extend their sincere best wishes for her continued health, happiness, and success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Annabelle Tidmore.
