A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending the Lambert High School Girls Golf Program for its sustained excellence, championship record, and contributions to high school athletics; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Lambert High School Girls Golf Program has established itself as one of the most consistently dominant programs in the State of Georgia, maintaining a standard of excellence within the Georgia High School Association (GHSA); and

WHEREAS, Lambert has earned a total of 11 GHSA State Team Championships, including a streak of six consecutive state titles from 2020 through 2025, demonstrating unmatched consistency and competitive performance; and

WHEREAS, during the 2025 GHSA Class 6A State Championship, Lambert secured the team title with a two-day total of 421 (11-under par), winning the championship by a remarkable 69-stroke margin, further reinforcing the program's statewide and national reputation for excellence; and

WHEREAS, in addition to championship success, the program has captured every Area/Region Championship for over 14 consecutive seasons, marking one of the longest sustained runs of dominance in GHSA girls golf; and

WHEREAS, the program's achievements reflect the leadership, preparation, and player development provided by the coaching staff, whose commitment to discipline, sportsmanship, and competitive excellence has elevated Lambert Girls Golf to a model program in high-school athletics; and

WHEREAS, the continued success of Lambert Girls Golf brings honor to Lambert High School, inspires future student-athletes, and contributes positively to the academic and athletic culture of the Forsyth County community.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend the Lambert High School Girls Golf Program for its exceptional accomplishments, its longstanding championship tradition, and its continued contributions to excellence in Georgia high-school athletics. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to Lambert High School and its girls golf coaching staff.
