A RESOLUTION
Honoring the life of Mr. Hassan Raheem Glasgow and dedicating a road in his memory; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Mr. Hassan Raheem Glasgow was born on March 3, 1993, in Key West, Florida, a beloved son of Darlene Mathis and Edward Glasgow; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Glasgow graduated from King's Fork High School in Suffolk, Virginia, and was employed with Emory University as a computer support specialist; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Glasgow gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he demonstrated to his family and friends were admired by others; and
WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he made this world a better place in which to live; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be recognized appropriately by dedicating a road in his memory.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ENACTED BY THE GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA that the portion of State Route 540 in Washington County from State Route 231 to the Jefferson County line is dedicated as the Hassan Raheem Glasgow Memorial Highway.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Transportation is authorized and directed to erect and maintain appropriate signs dedicating the Hassan Raheem Glasgow Memorial Highway.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the family of Mr. Hassan Raheem Glasgow and to the Department of Transportation.
