A RESOLUTION

Commending Rachel Kinsaul, the 2026 Georgia Teacher of the Year, on being named a finalist for the 2026 National Teacher of the Year; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Rachel Kinsaul has been honored as the 2026 Georgia Teacher of the Year in recognition of her exemplary leadership and her commitment to advancing high quality education for students across Georgia; and

WHEREAS, she has been named one of five finalists for the 2026 National Teacher of the Year by the Council of Chief State School Officers, a distinguished honor reflecting her statewide and national impact as an educator; and

WHEREAS, her dedication to agricultural education, project-based learning, and real world application has empowered countless students to develop confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of purpose both inside and outside the classroom; and

WHEREAS, as Georgia Teacher of the Year, she has served as a committed advocate for public education, highlighting the transformative power of hands-on, career-connected learning and elevating the voices of educators statewide; and

WHEREAS, her contributions to her school, community, and the State of Georgia exemplify the highest ideals of the teaching profession and merit special recognition.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Rachel Kinsaul for her outstanding accomplishments, congratulate her on being named a finalist for the 2026 National Teacher of the Year, and extend their heartfelt best wishes for continued success and service. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Rachel Kinsaul.
