A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending the Henry County District Attorney's Victim Services Unit; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Henry County District Attorney's Victim Services Unit is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive support to victims of felony crime; and

WHEREAS, the unit consists of eight highly committed advocates, including two specialists who focus on crimes against children and domestic violence cases; and

WHEREAS, these advocates assist victims in navigating the complexities of the legal process, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance, resources, and emotional support to pursue justice; and

WHEREAS, February 5, 2025, marks Stand With Survivors Day at the state capitol, a day dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for the rights and safety of domestic violence survivors; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkable unit be appropriately honored during this special time.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend the Henry County District Attorney's Victim Services Unit for its dedicated, effective, and efficient service on behalf of those in need as well as extend sincere best wishes for continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Henry County District Attorney's Victim Services Unit.
