A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the Maternal Health Vitality Think Tank; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Maternal Health Vitality Think Tank (MHVTT) works to champion healthcare, social services, research, philanthropy, and policies that enable Georgians to make informed decisions about their reproductive lives; and
WHEREAS, the organization is committed to supporting the meaningful engagement of those most impacted by poor maternal health in order to address Georgia's complex maternal health challenges and improve maternal health across the state; and
WHEREAS, by collaborating with partners from across Georgia's maternal health ecosystem and drawing on diverse perspectives, the Maternal Health Vitality Think Tank strengthens understanding of the challenges faced by families throughout the state; and
WHEREAS, the MHVTT further supports the expansion of the perinatal and postpartum workforce, specifically physicians, clinicians, public health professionals, occupational therapists, community health workers, doulas, and midwives; and
WHEREAS, these exemplary efforts are in service of a vision of Georgia wherein every citizen has access to respectful, evidence-based, affordable healthcare, including access to support and resources with dignity and compassion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend the Maternal Health Vitality Think Tank for its many outstanding contributions on behalf of the citizens of this state as well as extend best wishes for continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Maternal Health Vitality Think Tank.
