A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Christopher Lambry, Jr.; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Christopher Lambry, Jr., of Atlanta, represents a rising generation of leadership defined not only by promise, but by purpose; and
WHEREAS, a Political Science scholar at Morehouse College, Christopher currently serves as Student Government Association President-Elect, alongside his roles as Vice President of the NAACP chapter and Vice President of Morehouse Democrats; and
WHEREAS, he was recognized as an Oprah Winfrey Scholar and one of Morehouse’s top-ranking scholars as well as served as a W.E.B. Du Bois Research Scholar at Harvard University; and
WHEREAS, within the Student Government Association, Christopher helped spearhead the “March to the Polls” initiative, mobilizing more than 300 HBCU students to engage in early voting and civic participation; and
WHEREAS, his commitment to democracy extends beyond borders, having served as an international election observer in South Africa, where he contributed to the global pursuit of free and fair elections; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper to honor this remarkable young Georgian.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Christopher Lambry, Jr., congratulate him upon his election as 95th Student Government Association President of Morehouse College, and extend their sincere best wishes for his continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Christopher Lambry, Jr.
