House Resolution 2048

By: Representatives Cox of the 28th, Barrett of the 24th, Jasperse of the 11th, McDonald III of the 26th, Jones of the 25th, and others

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Artemis Eaton; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Artemis Eaton, a senior at North Forsyth High School, has demonstrated unparalleled excellence, discipline, and dominance in the sport of wrestling throughout her high school career; and

WHEREAS, Artemis concluded her senior season with a flawless 41-0 record, culminating in her fourth consecutive state title and securing her place as the first female four-tine Wrestling State Champion in the history of the State of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, her career statistics reflect a level of mastery, finishing with a staggering 140-0 career record and an extraordinary 131 pins, signifying that she never once tasted defeat on the mat in four years of competition; and

WHEREAS, her path to history was paved with consistent excellence, including earning the titles four-time Area Champion and four-time Sectional Champion, proving her mettle at every level of the Georgia High School Association.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Artemis Eaton for her undefeated career, her contributions to the sport of wrestling, and her remarkable achievement as Georgia's first female four time State Champion.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Artemis Eaton.
