A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Mr. Tim Thomas; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Mr. Tim Thomas is a dedicated highschool math teacher and college math professor; and

WHEREAS, in the wake of the tragic Apalachee High School shooting that claimed the lives of math teachers Cristina Irimie and Richard Aspinwall, Mr. Tim Thomas selflessly stepped down from his position at Lanier Technical College to return to teaching high school; and

WHEREAS, demonstrating exceptional compassion, courage, and commitment to education, Mr. Tim Thomas provided students with stability, mentorship, and hope in a time of profound tragedy; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper to honor the selfless dedication of this remarkable and distinguished Georgian.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Mr. Tim Thomas and extend their sincere best wises for his continued health, happiness, and success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Mr. Tim Thomas.
