A RESOLUTION

Recognizing the members of the Georgia Black Republican Council; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Black History Month is a time to honor the rich heritage, resilience, and achievements of Black Americans who have shaped the United States through their unwavering faith, hard work, and commitment to freedom; and

WHEREAS, Black Americans have played a pivotal role in advancing the principles of liberty, justice, and equal opportunity enshrined in our Constitution, from the abolitionist movement to the civil rights era and beyond; and

WHEREAS, the contributions of Black entrepreneurs, inventors, scholars, and leaders have been instrumental in strengthening the economic, cultural, and moral fabric of our nation; and

WHEREAS, Black Americans have overcome tremendous adversity through perseverance, faith, family values, and a strong belief in the American Dream; and

WHEREAS, this month is an opportunity to recognize the importance of educational empowerment, economic self-sufficiency, and civic engagement in ensuring the prosperity and advancement of all communities; and

WHEREAS, the principles of limited government, free enterprise, and individual responsibility have long been championed by great Black leaders, from Booker T. Washington to Justice Clarence Thomas; and

WHEREAS, members of the Georgia Black Republican Council, an auxiliary of the Georgia Republican Party, exemplify the aforementioned belief.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize the members of the Georgia Black Republican Council and extend best wishes for continued success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the public and the press.
