A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Stacia Mac; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Stacia Mac is a distinguished serial entrepreneur, entertainment executive, and community advocate whose vision and dedication have profoundly impacted the music industry, business sector, and underserved communities; and

WHEREAS, as the Founder and CEO of House of Legends Records, Stacia Mac has demonstrated extraordinary leadership in the entertainment industry, providing strategic guidance and opportunities for artists, including her pivotal role in negotiating her son Polo G's record deal with Columbia Records, thus solidifying a path for his rise in the music industry; and

WHEREAS, beyond the realm of entertainment, Stacia Mac has shown a steadfast commitment to empowering communities through education, mentorship, and philanthropy, as evidenced by her recognition as one of Billboard's Women in Music Top Executives in 2022; and

WHEREAS, her entrepreneurial acumen extends into new business ventures, including the launch of her candle line in 2024, further demonstrating her versatility and innovative spirit; and

WHEREAS, her passion for social justice and humanitarian efforts led to the founding of the "Find Her Way" bail bond project, an initiative dedicated to supporting incarcerated women in Chicago, and her philanthropic work includes organizing food, clothing, school fee, and prom dress giveaways to uplift and support her community; and

WHEREAS, through The Mac Effect, Stacia Mac continues to serve as a beacon of hope and empowerment, inspiring youth by providing mentorship, financial literacy education, business development programs, and entrepreneurial resources to foster self-sufficiency and generational wealth; and

WHEREAS, her unwavering dedication to empowerment, leadership, and community service has left an indelible mark on the lives of many, exemplifying the values of perseverance, integrity, and servant leadership.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Stacia Mac for her outstanding contributions to the entertainment industry, business sector, and community empowerment initiatives as well as extend best wishes for continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Stacia Mac.
