A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending the Georgia Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce Inc.; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Georgia Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce Inc. (GAHCCI) has demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment to the economic and cultural advancement of the Haitian-American community in Georgia; and

WHEREAS, GAHCCI has launched the PPRNE (Pinnacle Project: Reaching Nonprofit Excellence) program, an initiative dedicated to elevating nonprofit organizations by providing them with the tools and guidance needed to thrive and expand their impact; and

WHEREAS, GAHCCI has established Eritaj, a visionary program designed to train, recognize, and elevate businesses that are building lasting legacies for themselves and the community while celebrating those who embody excellence, resilience, and community impact; and

WHEREAS, GAHCCI will hold its 10th annual Pwochen Lide/Eritaj Gala to honor and award businesses and organizations that embody excellence, resilience, and community impact and to provide scholarships for high school graduates of Haitian descent who have demonstrated academic excellence; and

WHEREAS, GAHCCI has successfully organized the Haitian Flag Day celebration on May 18, 2024, and 2025, honoring Haiti's rich history and culture while uniting the Haitian diaspora and fostering a sense of pride and solidarity; and

WHEREAS, GAHCCI has introduced CommerceWorx, an innovative monthly training and networking program that empowers entrepreneurs and business owners with essential skills, resources, and connections to thrive in a competitive marketplace; and

WHEREAS, GAHCCI has played a pivotal role in promoting unity among diverse business communities by hosting the Multi Black Chamber Mixer, an event that fosters collaboration, networking, and economic empowerment across multiple Black chambers of commerce; and

WHEREAS, GAHCCI has launched the BEL Initiative, a premier entrepreneurship and leadership development program designed to empower Haitian entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to build sustainable businesses; and

WHEREAS, through immersive training, mentorship, and hands-on learning experiences, BEL Initiative participants gain practical insights into business development, innovation, and investment strategies; and

WHEREAS, GAHCCI awarded grants to three small businesses in Haiti in October 2024, providing financial support to drive economic growth and sustainability within the Haitian business ecosystem; and

WHEREAS, GAHCCI has established the GAHCCI Foundation to continue its charitable work in the community and abroad, extending resources and opportunities to underserved populations; and

WHEREAS, GAHCCI has launched the Georgia Haitian Real Estate Association, a dedicated group of real estate professionals committed to fostering connections within the Georgia Haitian community; and

WHEREAS, members of the association operate in unity, fellowship, and collaboration to promote growth and success among real estate professionals; and

WHEREAS, members of GAHCCI enjoy exclusive benefits, including monthly business coaching, networking and educational events, complimentary advertisements, opportunities to serve on chamber committees, special rates on events and consultations, and access to exclusive deals that enhance their business opportunities and professional development; and

WHEREAS, under the visionary leadership of President Dr. Ronald Cetoute, Vice President and Membership Chair Jacques Laurent, Secretary Jean Casseus, Board Development and Immediate Past Chairman Saurel Quettan, Fundraising Chair Dr. Marjorie Denis, Membership Chair Herve Dor, and Board Member Natalie Delille, GAHCCI continues to be a beacon of support, collaboration, and growth, propelling Haitian-American businesses and communities toward a prosperous and interconnected future.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend the Georgia Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce Inc. for its unwavering dedication to the prosperity and cultural enrichment of the Haitian-American community and for its significant contributions to the broader business ecosystem in Georgia.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Georgia Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce Inc.
