A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Tenisha Lynette Dixon; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Tenisha Lynette Dixon has exemplified dedication and commitment as a public servant, serving as Council Aide to the Mayor and City Council Members for five years, tirelessly working to support the needs of the community and ensure the efficient operation of city governance; and
WHEREAS, she was born on January 4, 1976, in Daytona Beach, Florida, to a loving and supportive family who profoundly influenced her character; and
WHEREAS, her mother, Sara J. Dixon, provided unwavering love and guidance while her father, Wilford Dixon, a United States Navy veteran, instilled in her the values of service, discipline, and perseverance, shaping her into the person she is today; and
WHEREAS, she has been a proud resident of Forest Park, Georgia, for over 25 years, demonstrating her deep roots and commitment to the community; and
WHEREAS, Tenisha is a devoted mother to her two daughters, Aiy'Anna and Kennedy King, and a longtime partner to their father, Jormel King, who has been a constant source of reassurance, support, and encouragement; and
WHEREAS, she skillfully balances her demanding professional responsibilities with her unwavering dedication as a loving and supportive parent; and
WHEREAS, she is an active member of New Vision Christian Church, where she plays a vital role in fostering spiritual growth and fellowship within her congregation; and
WHEREAS, Tenisha is a passionate Atlanta Falcons fan who enjoys spending quality time with her family, watching movies, and traveling, all of which showcase her vibrant and well-rounded personality; and
WHEREAS, her dedication, hard work, and positive spirit have made a lasting impact on the city and its residents, earning her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and community members alike.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Tenisha Lynette Dixon for her outstanding contributions to the City of Forest Park and her unwavering commitment to public service, extend their deepest gratitude for her efforts, and celebrate her as a valued member of the community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Tenisha Lynette Dixon.
