A RESOLUTION
Commending Brian Butler for recognizing the outstanding contributions of Brandon Butler, Jah Rawlings, Tory Edwards, Ian Ford, Bem Joiner, William Sparks, and Shelly McAllister in organizing 404 Weekend and acknowledging their collective representation of Butter.ATL, Atlanta Influences Everything, Finish First, and The Trap Museum; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, 404 Weekend stands as a premier event that honors the legacy, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of Atlanta and the greater metropolitan area encompassing Fulton, Clayton, and DeKalb counties; and
WHEREAS, through their leadership and collaboration, Brandon Butler, Jah Rawlings, Tory Edwards, Ian Ford, Bem Joiner, William Sparks, and Shelly McAllister have successfully curated a transformative experience that showcases Atlanta's profound impact on music, business, fashion, art, and social movements; and
WHEREAS, 404 Weekend's signature events, including the 404 Day Scholarship Gala, Block Party, and Parade, serve as a testament to the city's dynamic energy and unwavering commitment to fostering community pride, economic growth, and cultural appreciation; and
WHEREAS, this weekend-long celebration fosters unity among local businesses, artists, civic leaders, and residents, reinforcing Atlanta's reputation as a global cultural powerhouse; and
WHEREAS, by recognizing and commending these visionaries and their respective organizations, this body uplifts the importance of innovation, inclusivity, and collaboration in driving Atlanta's continued success.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Brian Butler for his leadership in honoring the significant work of Brandon Butler, Jah Rawlings, Tory Edwards, Ian Ford, Bem Joiner, William Sparks, and Shelly McAllister in organizing 404 Weekend as well as recognize their extraordinary contributions to the cultural, social, and economic vibrancy of Atlanta and beyond.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the honorees named herein, the public, and the press.
