A RESOLUTION

Commending Lisa Cunningham; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Lisa Cunningham is a distinguished marketing and communications executive whose award-winning leadership has advanced national conversations around women's health through bold, innovative campaigns that deliver measurable impact; and

WHEREAS, she currently serves as executive vice president of marketing & communications at the Black Women's Health Imperative, where she has spearheaded high-profile campaigns addressing breast and cervical cancer awareness and diabetes prevention; and

WHEREAS, her cervical cancer awareness campaign, produced in partnership with Ciara and Hologic, earned an Anthem Award and garnered more than 58 million organic impressions, while her strategic leadership fueled a more than 2,700 percent increase in audience engagement and a 211 percent growth in social media followers; and

WHEREAS, Lisa began her professional journey in the entertainment industry, directing and producing over 1,000 branded and music videos for major artists and entertainment companies before transitioning into purpose-driven marketing work for organizations such as the CDC, McDonald's, Ford Motors, W Hotels, ViiV Healthcare, and a host of nonprofit partners; and

WHEREAS, her most recent project, Me Period—a documentary sponsored by Procter & Gamble—won the Best Documentary Audience Award at the Essence Film Festival and explores inter-generational health conversations between Black mothers and daughters; and

WHEREAS, her civic engagement includes appointments by two Atlanta mayors to the city's LGBTQ Advisory Board as well as advisory roles with Seed & Spark's Creative Advisory Council and the Alliance for Women's Health and Prevention; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this distinguished individual be appropriately honored during this special time.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Lisa Cunningham for her visionary leadership in marketing, steadfast advocacy for women's health, and ongoing contributions to her community as well as extend best wishes for continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Lisa Cunningham.
