HR 815: House Study Committee on Exploring the Potential for Humanoids and Robotics in Georgia Workforce Development; create

This resolution does not change any law. Instead, it sets up a temporary House Study Committee on Exploring the Potential for Humanoids and Robotics in Georgia Workforce Development. The Speaker of the House would appoint five representatives to the committee and name one of them chairperson. The committee's job is to study issues around humanoids and robotics in the workforce and recommend any legislation it thinks is needed. It can hold meetings wherever and whenever it decides is useful, and members get standard legislative allowances (under O.C.G.A. Section 28-1-8) for up to five meeting days, paid from the House's existing budget. If the committee approves a report, the chairperson must file it with the Clerk of the House before the committee is abolished on December 1, 2025.
