A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the 2025 Awards of Honor recipient, Lynn Green; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Lynn Green is a graduate of Michigan State University with a BS in Park, Recreation, and Tourism Resources; and
WHEREAS, Lynn currently works as the Child Welfare Program Director for DFCS, serving six counties in northwest Georgia; and
WHEREAS, Lynn is the former vice president of the Georgia Professional Human Services Association (GPHSA), the GPHSA Foundation President and Technology Committee Chair, a National Child Welfare Workforce Institute Leadership Coach , a Child Welfare Information Gateway Peer Reviewer, a DHS Leadership Academy Graduate, a UGA Carl Vinson Institute of Government June 2014 Leadership Rome participant, as well as the founder and president of PFLAG Rome, Georgia; and
WHEREAS, she has been honored as a PFLAG National Chapter of the Year nominee and as Best of Rome, Rome Pride, in October 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize Lynn Green for her outstanding dedication to the community, commend her as a recipient of the 2025 Heart of the Community Awards Honor Recipient, and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Lynn Green.
