SR 231: Officer Jeremy Labonte Memorial Interchange; Fulton County; dedicate

This resolution honors five Georgia law enforcement officers by naming state highway locations after them. It dedicates the interchange of State Route 400/US 19 and State Route 140/Holcomb Bridge Road in Fulton County as the Officer Jeremy Labonte Memorial Interchange, and creates four more memorial dedications for Deputy Brandon Cunningham in Paulding County, Officer Christopher Lee Ruse in Jackson County, Officer Scott Riner in Gwinnett County, and Trooper Jimmy Cenescar, also in Gwinnett County. The resolution directs the Georgia Department of Transportation to put up and maintain signs marking each dedicated location. It also directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to send copies of the resolution to the department and to the families of each honoree. • Directs the Department of Transportation to erect and maintain signs at each dedicated location and directs copies be sent to the officers' families.

The Georgia Department of Transportation, which must install and maintain the memorial signage, and the families of Officer Jeremy Labonte, Deputy Brandon Cunningham, Officer Christopher Lee Ruse, Officer Scott Riner, and Trooper Jimmy Cenescar, who receive formal recognition and copies of the resolution.

The resolution creates lasting public memorials along Georgia highways for five officers who died or served in the line of duty, giving their communities and families a visible, permanent tribute, though it does not change any traffic law or state funding.

• Part VI names the interchange of SR 400/US 19 and SR 140/Holcomb Bridge Road in Fulton County the Officer Jeremy Labonte Memorial Interchange.
• Part VI also dedicates four additional intersections and a bridge in Paulding, Jackson, and Gwinnett counties to the other four honorees.
