A RESOLUTION

Congratulating Rachel Kinsaul for winning the Milken Educator Award; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young people, and Rachel Kinsaul exemplifies the selfless dedication that is characteristic of our finest teachers; and

WHEREAS, Rachel Kinsaul is a highly praised agricultural science teacher at Morgan County High School in Madison, Georgia, who dedicates countless hours toward guiding students to a brighter future; and

WHEREAS, this school year, she was pivotal in opening the Morgan Agricultural Learning Lab, which houses the livestock showmanship program and allows students to advance their learning with hands-on experiences, such as raising livestock; and

WHEREAS, the Milken Educator Awards recognize the best teachers across the nation; this year, Rachel Kinsaul is the sole recipient in Georgia; and

WHEREAS, as a result of her dedication to her students and her profession, Rachel Kinsaul is also a top-10 finalist for the 2026 Georgia Teacher of the Year Award; and

WHEREAS, in recognition of such remarkable contributions to the education and welfare of Georgia's students, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body congratulate Rachel Kinsaul for winning the Milken Educator Award and express their most sincere best wishes for her continued success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Rachel Kinsaul.
