SR 6: General Assembly Meetings and Adjournments; relative

This resolution lays out the day-by-day schedule the Georgia General Assembly will follow during its 2025 regular session, listing which days count as legislative days, which are committee work days, and marking the crossover day (March 6) and sine die adjournment (April 4). It also restates that each chamber sets its own convening and adjourning hours under existing law (O.C.G.A. § 28-1-2) and stays adjourned between legislative days. A second part addresses emergencies. If a manmade or natural disaster, or enemy attack, makes it unsafe to meet at the State Capitol in Atlanta, the Speaker of the House and the President of the Senate can jointly suspend the regular schedule and reconvene the General Assembly either at a temporary location the Governor has designated or back at the Capitol once conditions allow.
