A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Dr. Anissa D. Hunter; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Dr. Anissa D. Hunter is a United States Navy veteran, author, educator, and mental health advocate; and

WHEREAS, she honorably served in the United States Navy as a Personnelman and Legalman, valiantly and courageously protecting her fellow Americans aboard the USS Yosemite (AD-71) and USS Eisenhower (CVN-69); and

WHEREAS, following her military service, Dr. Hunter has dedicated her career to advocacy, education, and leadership development, particularly in the areas of mental health awareness, holistic wellness, and community support; and

WHEREAS, she is the author of Baby Steps to Holistic Living and the forthcoming Whole-Powered Leadership, which is grounded in her proprietary clarity-driven, human-centered leadership framework that integrates evidence-based leadership principles, whole-person sustainability, and real-world application to support alignment, accountability, and lasting results; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Hunter passionately serves her community with the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI), The American Legion Post 0066, Henry County Special Needs Adults, and CoreLife Wellness; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this exemplary Georgian be appropriately honored.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Dr. Anissa D. Hunter for helping Georgia leaders navigate change, reduce mental overload, and translate insight into action. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr. Anissa D. Hunter.
