A RESOLUTION
Recognizing February 17, 2026, as Next Gen Youth Entrepreneurship Day at the state capitol; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Youth Entrepreneurship Day is an educational and inspiring event designed to introduce young people to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, leadership, and civic engagement; and
WHEREAS, hosted by Senator Randal Mangham on February 17, this special day at the Georgia State Capitol brings together youth, parents, educators, and community leaders to celebrate innovation, creativity, and the power of young entrepreneurs; and
WHEREAS, participants will have the opportunity to learn about business development and the role entrepreneurship plays in strengthening communities while also gaining firsthand exposure to Georgia's legislative process; and
WHEREAS, participants include Tyler Sullivan, Diana Solano, Jhari Johnson, and Katie Tripp, whose accomplishments not only highlight their individual talent and drive but also set a powerful example of what is possible when ambition is matched with hard work and innovation; and
WHEREAS, through vision, determination, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, this extraordinary group of young entrepreneurs have reached impressive professional milestones at a remarkably early stage in their lives and have achieved levels of success that far exceed typical expectations for their age; and
WHEREAS, Youth Entrepreneurship Day aims to empower the next generation with the knowledge, confidence, and vision needed to turn ideas into impact; and
WHEREAS, through education, encouragement, and engagement, the event highlights the importance of investing in young minds and fostering an entrepreneurial spirit that will help shape Georgia's future.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize February 17, 2026, as Next Gen Youth Entrepreneurship Day at the state capitol. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the public and the press.
