11-12A-102. Definitions.

  1. (a)

    Article 12A Definitions. In this article:#

    1. (1)

      “Adjustment date” means July 1, 2025.#

    2. (2)

      “Article 12” means Article 12 of this title.#

    3. (3)

      “Article 12 property” means a controllable account, controllable electronic record, or controllable payment intangible.#

  2. (b)

    Definitions in other articles. The following definitions in other articles of this title apply to this article:#

    1. “Controllable account.” Code Section 11-9-102.

    2. “Controllable electronic record.” Code Section 11-12-102.

    3. “Controllable payment intangible.” Code Section 11-9-102.

    4. “Electronic money.” Code Section 11-9-102.

    5. “Financing statement.” Code Section 11-9-102.

  3. (c)

    Article 1 definitions and principles. Article 1 contains general definitions and principles of construction and interpretation applicable throughout this article.#
