11-2A-107. Waiver or renunciation of claim or right after default.

Any claim or right arising out of an alleged default or breach of warranty may be discharged in whole or in part without consideration by a waiver or renunciation in a signed record delivered by the aggrieved party.

Code 1981, § 11-2A-107, enacted by Ga. L. 1993, p. 633, § 1; Ga. L. 2024, p. 817, § 5-13/HB 1240, effective July 1, 2024.

Amendments

The 2024 amendment, effective July 1, 2024, deleted “written” preceding “waiver” near the middle and substituted “in a signed record” for “signed and” near the end.

L. 2024, p. 817, § 1-2/HB 1240, not codified by the General Assembly, provides: “Nothing in this Act shall be construed to support, endorse, create, or implement a national digital currency.”
