34-9-178. Construction of article.

  1. Nothing in this article shall be construed to apply to employers who elect to self-insure individually for workers’ compensation pursuant to Code Section 34-9-121 and the rules of the State Board of Workers’ Compensation or pursuant to any reciprocal agreements or contracts of indemnity executed prior to March 8, 1960, creating funds for the purpose of satisfying the obligations of self-insured employers under this chapter.
