37-1-115. Subcommittees.

  1. (a)

    Except as otherwise provided in this Code section, the chairperson of the commission shall appoint members of the following subcommittees from among the membership of the commission and may also appoint up to two other noncommission-member persons as he or she may determine to be necessary as relevant to and consistent with this article:#

    1. (1)

      Children and Adolescent Behavioral Health;#

    2. (2)

      Addictive Diseases;#

    3. (3)

      Hospital and Short-Term Care Facilities;#

    4. (4)

      Mental Health Courts and Corrections; and#

    5. (5)

      Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.#

  2. (b)

    The chairperson, at his or her discretion, may designate and appoint other subcommittees from among the membership of the commission and may also appoint up to two other noncommission-member persons as he or she may determine to be necessary as relevant to and consistent with this article.#

Amendments

The 2025 amendment, effective May 14, 2025, in subsection (a), substituted “Except as otherwise provided in this Code section, the” for “The” at the beginning and inserted “members of” following “appoint”; substituted “Addictive Diseases” for “Involuntary Commitment” in paragraph (a)(2), and substituted “Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities” for “Workforce and System Development” in paragraph (a)(5).
