45-4-9. New bond and surety when surety relieved or insufficient.

  1. The Governor shall require a new surety and bond for the performance of any public duty by any officer under this chapter when, in the Governor’s discretion:

  2. (1)

    The surety gives written notice to the Governor of his desire to be relieved from future liability for good cause stated and sworn to; or#

  3. (2)

    The surety becomes insufficient, based upon satisfactory evidence.#
