5-3-6. Petitioning for review.

(a)
A petitioner invokes the appellate jurisdiction of a reviewing court under this chapter by filing a petition for review with the clerk of the reviewing court.#
(b)
The consent of the lower judicatory shall not be required for the filing of a petition for review.#
