A RESOLUTION

Honoring the Natural Gas Association of Georgia's 10th anniversary; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Natural Gas Association of Georgia is comprised of over 50 companies and municipalities that provide natural gas services to the residents of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, in 2025, the Natural Gas Association celebrated the grand occasion of its 10th anniversary; and

WHEREAS, that same year, the Natural Gas Association of Georgia began the Everyday Energy Heroes campaign to spotlight the members of the natural gas industry who make it possible for the people and businesses to enjoy the benefits of natural gas safely and reliably; and

WHEREAS, over 2 million homes and businesses in Georgia are connected to natural gas service that provides energy for heating, cooking, hot water, drying and other uses; and

WHEREAS, in recognition of their dedication to providing exceptional service to their customers and their community, Lonnie Robinson with the City of Commerce, Robert Gordon with DeKalb County, Alex Philmon with the City of Sugar Hill, Everett Rhodes with the City of Waynesboro, Danny Hughes with the City of Claxton, Tabitha Shephard with Southstar Energy Services, and David Martin with Mansfield Power and Gas were nominated to be the Everyday Energy Heroes for 2025; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper to recognize this outstanding organization upon its monumental 10th anniversary and the launch of the Everyday Energy Heroes campaign.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body honor the Natural Gas Association of Georgia's 10th anniversary and congratulate the nominees of the 2025 Everyday Energy Heroes campaign. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Natural Gas Association of Georgia.
