A RESOLUTION

Honoring the life, work, and contributions of Patrick Muhammad; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Patrick Muhammad, known as the Principal Farmer, is a pioneering leader in Atlanta's homesteading and agricultural education, dedicating over a decade to transforming his 31-acre Your Faith Farms into a thriving hub for sustainable living and agricultural learning; and

WHEREAS, through his dedication and expertise, he has empowered over 30 families to purchase and develop their own farms, fostering a new generation of landowners and sustainable farmers; and

WHEREAS, as the Principal of Chattahoochee Hills Charter School, an agriculture-focused institution, he inspires young students through hands-on agricultural lessons, instilling in them the values of sustainability, self-sufficiency, and environmental stewardship; and

WHEREAS, his impact extends beyond the classroom as his educational videos on sustainable farming and homesteading have gone viral, reaching millions of viewers and sparking widespread enthusiasm for agricultural education; and

WHEREAS, his contributions to the field of agriculture and education have been recognized with an Emmy nomination, and his work has been featured on prominent platforms such as Netflix's Chicken Soup for the Soul, FOX's Home Free, and a John Deere campaign; and

WHEREAS, Patrick Muhammad is also a published author, and his forthcoming third book, Farming by Faith, is set to further inspire and educate individuals on the principles of farming, faith, and self-reliance; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding achievements and lasting contributions of Patrick Muhammad be appropriately recognized and celebrated.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body honor Patrick Muhammad for his exemplary leadership, his commitment to agricultural education, and his dedication to empowering families through farming and homesteading.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Patrick Muhammad.
