A RESOLUTION
Congratulating and commending Alisa Anderson for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leader Award; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, in 1999, Representative Nikki T. Randall became the first African American female elected to the General Assembly from middle Georgia, and over her 17 years of service as a legislator, she held numerous leadership positions, including chair of the Georgia Legislative Women's Caucus; and
WHEREAS, every year during Women's History Month, the Georgia Legislative Women's Caucus recognizes outstanding women in Georgia who exemplify the leadership and inspiration embodied by Representative Randall; and
WHEREAS, Alisa Anderson currently serves as the founder and executive director of Women's Resources Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to aiding women and low-income families by addressing their immediate needs and equipping them with the tools necessary to achieve their educational, financial, career, and spiritual goals; and
WHEREAS, under her leadership, Women's Resources Inc. has served over 80 families, provided meals to more than 3,600 individuals annually, empowered 24 entrepreneurs through training and mentorship, conducted extensive street outreach, and offered life skills coaching and professional development programs; and
WHEREAS, Alisa has served as a beacon of hope in her community by using her personal journey to inspire and uplift others, providing compassionate leadership and a faith-driven approach that helps women embrace purposeful and fulfilling lives; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this extraordinary servant leader be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body congratulate and commend Alisa Anderson for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leader Award and extend best wishes for her continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Alisa Anderson.
