A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the Veterans of Foreign Wars upon its 125th anniversary; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) of the United States has proudly served as the voice of veterans, advocating for their rights, welfare, and well-being, since its founding in 1899; and
WHEREAS, the VFW has continued to provide unwavering support to veterans, military personnel, and their families while promoting patriotism, honor, and community service across our nation for 125 years; and
WHEREAS, the VFW's commitment to enhancing the lives of veterans through advocacy, programs, and service continues to inspire communities, schools, and future generations; and
WHEREAS, this milestone provides an opportunity to engage the public, particularly youth, in understanding the history, values, and role of veterans in our society while encouraging outreach and appreciation; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars with a lasting tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of those who have served our country.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend the Veterans of Foreign Wars upon the grand occasion of its 125th anniversary and extend sincere best wishes for continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
